KeepFlow stores your conversations in your browser. This page describes what data the extension can access, where copies are kept and how to delete them.

October 30, 2026 · Extension 1.0.0

What KeepFlow reads

The text of messages and replies, available reply versions, chat titles and addresses, dates and files from conversations on chatgpt.com and claude.ai. The extension saves what these sites show in the browser.

Other sites are not available to the extension. KeepFlow does not read passwords or cookies. Conversations you open are saved automatically. Older history can be added through the official export or the history-saving menu; completeness of an account’s history is not guaranteed.

Attachments are saved if the service lets you download them, up to 2 GiB per file. If a file is unavailable or the service provides only a reduced-size image, the archive marks it. Hidden artifacts and entire Claude projects are not saved.

Where conversations are stored

In the storage of your Chrome profile on this computer. KeepFlow has no server for storing conversations: the contents of chats and files are not sent to us.

Optionally, you can turn on a daily ZIP copy in the “Downloads/AI-Dialogue-Backups” folder. It contains conversations, files and the reader.html viewer. You can move the copy to another drive and open it without the original account.

Copies from the last 7 days and one for each of the 4 previous weeks are kept on disk. The extension deletes its own older copies. A copy is created while the browser is running.

The archive is not encrypted. Anyone with access to your computer’s files can read it. Keep archives like personal documents. A copy on a single computer does not protect against losing that computer.

What network requests are made

KeepFlow contacts ChatGPT, Claude and the addresses where they store their files in order to download the available attachments from your conversations. These services process requests under their own rules.

You can read the archive locally without an internet connection. When you click “Continue in ChatGPT” or “Continue in Claude”, KeepFlow opens a new chat in that service and places the conversation and history files in its message box. Nothing is sent automatically: you send it. After sending, the chosen service processes the data.

KeepFlow does not give access to other people’s accounts, does not restore the original account and does not bypass blocks. It is an independent extension, not endorsed by OpenAI or Anthropic.

Consent and control

Right after installation, saving is paused. KeepFlow starts saving after you review the data access and click “I agree, turn on saving”. You can pause the extension at any time.

The disk copy is turned on separately. Chrome asks for download permission only when you turn it on.

How to delete data

Delete the conversations you want to remove in the KeepFlow archive, or remove the extension itself. When the extension or the Chrome profile is deleted, the archive in the browser is deleted. ZIP copies already downloaded to disk will remain: delete them separately in your file manager, including copies on other drives.

Chrome Web Store policy

KeepFlow’s use and transfer of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

KeepFlow uses data for a single purpose: to save your ChatGPT and Claude conversations on your computer and help you continue them in a new chat. Data is not sold, not used for advertising or credit scoring, and not transferred to third parties; no person reads it. If these practices change, the extension will tell you and ask for consent again.

What this website receives

The website does not receive your conversations or files. The interactive demo uses a prepared sample; no real chats are loaded. The current version of the site has no analytics or third-party fonts connected: images, fonts and scripts are loaded from the site itself.

When pages load, the hosting server may receive technical details of the request: IP address, time, page address and browser data. This is the normal technical operation of hosting, not a transfer of your conversation archive.
